The Denver Broncos will likely find themselves without starting running back Montee Ball for their next three games, barring a quick return from a groin strain that was diagnosed on Monday.
According to ESPN NFL Nation reporter Jeff Legwold, head coach John Fox revealed the bad news regarding the injured halfback:
#Broncos HC John Fox said Montee Ball has "groin strain.'' Ball not expected to practice this week and could miss as many as 3 weeks.

Even if Ball heals ahead of schedule, the Broncos' jam-packed slate of games coming up will still likely cause him to miss three games at the minimum:
Starting w/Jets game Sunday, #Broncos will play three games in 12 days, so even if Ball misses less than three wks, still could miss 3 games

In his stead, Denver's rushing attack will likely be led by Ronnie Hillman, with CJ Anderson and rookie Juwan Thompson slated to be his backups. Hillman was decently impressive in the second half on Sunday, rushing 14 times for 65 yards.
Ball, on the other hand, left in the third quarter on Sunday having rushed for just seven yards on six carries.
