Denver Broncos’ Success Include Chris Harris: From Nobody To NFL’s 64th Best Player

It has been since 2011 when there were about 507 players drafted way ahead of Chris Harris. All were eligible for 2012’s Top 101 Players of the ProFootballFocus.com list. Even if Denver Broncos’ very own Chris Harris did not enjoy the usual pleasantries of being scouted or invested on as a draft pick, he still ranks above everyone else.

It is just right to give credit where credit is due especially to the undrafted free agent of Broncos who just continues on to get more and more recognition lately. And this is no other than the slot corner and #2 cornerback of the Denver Broncos, Chris Harris.

According to ProFootballFocus.com, he has been recognized as NFL’s 64th Best Player based on the player’s 2012 performance. Here’s an excerpt from that recognition by PFF-

“It’s not easy being a slot corner in the NFL, so Harris deserves extra credit for handling business on the outside and coping extremely well when moving inside in the Broncos’ sub-package defense. The former undrafted free agent took his chance with both hands when Tracy Porter went down hurt, and backed up his excellent coverage work with some fine play in the run game. A complete defender already.”

Harris was also able to top off his 2012 campaign with a total of 12 straight games and soon recognized for making numerous big plays. For the Denver Broncos defense, he has served as the team’s own Rod Smith.
