Peyton Manning played so good since his victorious comeback to the world of football in 2012. But he never expected he would encounter new challenges as he spent his first year with the Denver Broncos; challenges he did not face when he was still in the University of Tennessee.
Aside from Manning’s physical struggles due to the four surgeries he went through for his neck plus his absence for 19 months, his transition to a new team became more of his primary endeavor to accomplish. It certainly overwhelmed much of Manning but it did not stop him from leading the team to the AFC best record of 13-2.
With this he earned the recognition of Comeback Player of the Year and even finished second place for the MVP balloting.
With new coaches and coming from a new standpoint, Manning admits that he sometimes “felt like a rookie in some ways –.” He admits that all these and more could stress any football player out there but with much inspiration and motivation, one can only consistently do better.
Manning just turned 37 last March and this time he does not feel like a newbie anymore.
