When Wes Walker signed for a two year deal that was worth $12 million with the Denver Broncos in March, there came lots of news with the receiver pairing up along with Peyton Manning as quarterback. He is set to do something that many are not given a chance to do and that is to play with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.
However many think that even if he is a valuable addition to the offense of Denver Broncos, he is not considered the key to the team’s success. As many would say, he is just a puzzle piece to all of it.
As per NFL, Welker has an average of 112 catches for every season during the span of six years when he was still with the New England Patriots. But now that he is in Denver, even he himself is aware that the mentioned figure is not anymore realistic to achieve this 2013.
Welker will soon be added to the mix of players and will most likely get to fulfill his role for much aimed perfection but many are in doubt of what his exact role will be. He was brought in so as to replace Stokley and fill up the role as everyone gets forward. In short, the Denver Broncos only need Welker so as to make an upgrade for the said slot position.
This is something that fans should figure out the soonest.
