Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning isn't going to keep fans waitings about his playing future much longer, if this report by ESPN's Chris Mortensen is to be believed.
Per Mortensen, "Manning could decide as early as the coming week that he is indeed returning for an 18th season, according to sources."
"Manning has been fairly persuaded that all will work well between him and new head coach Gary Kubiak, who is ready and willing to fit his scheme to play to the quarterback's strengths," Mortensen added.
Manning told reporters last week that he's spoken with Kubiak already, indicating that the two were basically trying "to get to know each other." He will also have a checkup on his surgically repaired neck within the next month or so, just to make sure that he's physically cleared to go come 2015.
Stay tuned.
