The Denver Broncos' season came to a disappointing conclusion on Sunday with a loss in the Divisional Round of the playoffs to the Indianapolis Colts, and that could put head coach John Fox's job in jeopardy, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer.
Fox has posted a 46-18 record since joining the Broncos in 2011, but has a less than impressive 3-4 mark in the postseason. Denver's front office reportedly views that Fox was gifted Manning and has "only" been able to produce one Super Bowl appearance out of it.
Many of Fox's assistants in Denver have gone on to become successful head coaches in the NFL, including Mike McCoy with the Chargers. His current staff is led by offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who is at the top of coaching wishlists across the NFL, and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, who is a candidate for the Oakland Raiders job.
If Fox were to be fired, he would not be out of work long. Jay Glazer also reports that he would "shoot to the top" of several coaching lists around the league.
