The Denver Broncos suffered a disappointing end to their season, losing to the Indianapolis Colts in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Quarterback Peyton Manning’s future is up in the air, putting extra pressure on the Broncos to win a title next year. Who are the players on their roster that will give them an unexpected boost?
WR Cody Latimer
Latimer was hampered by injuries throughout his rookie season, and a lack of playing time limited his progression. Now that Denver needs a pass catcher to replace Julius Thomas, Latimer should see plenty of opportunities as a big possession receiver.
CB Bradley Roby
Roby emerged as a key nickel corner last season, and he'll continue to have plenty of opportunities to make plays with Chris Harris and Aqib Talib shutting down receivers on the outside. Plenty of passes will come Roby's way, and if he can build on last season's success, he could become a star.
LB Todd Davis
Davis joined the Broncos midseason after being released by the New Orleans Saints and had an impact for Denver filling in when their linebacking core was ravaged by injuries. He recorded 18 tackles in the last three games of the season when he saw playing time, and those numbers should only increase as he sees more time on the field.
