New Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak isn't saying outright that the team will limit veteran QB Peyton Manning's workload, but he is looking to have a conversation about such an arrangement with the team begins its offseason program in earnest on April 13th.
"It's interesting," Kubiak said at the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix last week, via ESPN.com. "He and I talked about that and I know his mindset is totally the other way but I have to get a feel for that. I think that as a coach you have to make those suggestions to players ... I don't know what that's going to be until I get involved with him on a day-to-day basis."
Kubiak has been down this road before with the Denver Broncos. He was the team's offensive coordinator during John Elway's age-35 to age-38 seasons -- a period where the team rested Elway whenever game situations allowed.
Whether or not Manning would sign off on such an arrangement is still unclear, but don't be surprised if we see a little more Brock Osweiler in 2015.
