The Denver Broncos host the Green Bay Packers Sunday Night in a battle of 6-0 teams. It should be a great contest, but only one team can improve to 7-0. That team will be Denver. Here are three reasons why the Broncos will CRUSH the Packers.
3. Home Field Advantage
The Broncos are the home team, and don't underestimate the boost that provides. The altitude element is real and the Broncos get an extra advantage from that. Plus, the Broncos are an incredible 24-2 in the regular season since Peyton Manning joined the team. This might just be the biggest game of the regular season for Denver, so the crowd should be loud and boisterous. That will make life harder on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense. With the benefit of home field advantage, the Broncos will defeat the Packers.
2. Secondary
The Broncos have one of the best secondaries in the NFL. No QB has been able to throw for 300 yards and only one WR has topped 100 yards this season. The Broncos can play man-to-man defense across the board with Chris Harris, Aqib Talib and Bradley Roby. The Packers are already without Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams isn't quite 100 percent. As talented as Rodgers is, he's going to struggle against the Bronco secondary.
1. Pass Rush
Denver has the best pass rush in the NFL, with 26 sacks. The Broncos can create pressure without bringing extra defenders, meaning Denver can drop extra men into coverage and take away Rodgers' first read. Rodgers is one of the more mobile and elusive QBs in the NFL, but even he can't escape the Denver pass rush. That will force Rodgers to take sacks, or even turn the ball over. Because of their deadly pass rush and secondary, the Broncos will shut down Rodgers en route to a win.
