3 Draft Needs In 2015
1) Offensive Tackle
2) Tight End/Wide Receiver
3) (Backup?) Quarterback
The departure of head coach John Fox is just step one of what is likely a crossroads for this incarnation of the Denver Broncos. Peyton Manning's decision on whether or not he'll return in 2015 will test Denver management's faith in backup Brock Osweiler, and the Broncos may look to the draft anyways if Manning comes back for at least a long-term competitive option for after his playing days are over. Depending on Manning's status, expect the Broncos to give Washington State's Connor Halliday or someone similar a long look later down the board.
There's also the matter of Julius Thomas and Demaryius Thomas' option years. Depending on the vision of John Elway in conjunction with whoever takes over as head coach, there are plenty of interesting decisions - financial and otherwise - to be made in 2015 and beyond.
There's also the matter of pass protection on the outside. The Broncos played with a few different offensive line combinations in 2014, even moving All-Pro Louis Vasquez out to right tackle to limited effect. Expect for the Broncos to target a tackle first and foremost, with versatile Colorado State standout Ty Sambrailo an intriguing option.
