The 2015 NFL Trade Deadline is just hours away, which means the Denver Broncos' front office has a very small window if they want to get a deal done before Tuesday afternoon. Denver already acquired tight end Vernon Davis, but they might not be done dealing just yet. With that in mind, here are 3 Broncos Trade Rumors You Need To Know Before The Deadline:
Will Denver get a deal done for Joe Thomas?
Denver's offensive line has been inconsistent all year keeping pressure away from Peyton Manning, so this would make a lot of sense. All indications are that the Cleveland Browns are about to enter a full-blown fire sale, and stud offensive linemen Joe Thomas is the block. Denver reportedly have gone hard after Thomas and offered the Browns a first-round pick for him, but Cleveland wanted more. Both sides appear to still be talking, but it's unclear if Denver will be willing to meet Cleveland's asking price.
If not Thomas, will they target other offensive linemen?
San Francisco 49ers guard Alex Boone and tackle Joe Staley could both be on the block, reports CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora. The issue with Mack and Staley is that their contracts might be too much for the Broncos to add, as Denver has limited cap space. Still, the Broncos would like to improve up front and could go all-in on a Super Bowl run this year.
Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson an option?
Minnesota has put Patterson on the trade block as the former first rounder has caught a meager two passes this season and has been passed by several players on the depth chart. However, he would immediately boost Denver's return game while giving them another speedster on the outside that would benefit greatly from playing with Peyton Manning. If the Broncos could get Patterson cheap, he'd be a great addition.
