With new lineup, D.C. United runs unbeaten streak to 5 with another draw

Amid the busiest stretch of the season, Ben Olsen made seven lineup changes for a mid-week match in Montreal.

The result: a harrowing 1-1 draw at Saputo Stadium.

On a day when goalkeepers were in the news (ahem, Hope Solo), Bill Hamid gave another blinding performance. Will he receive the call from Jurgen Klinsmann for the two World Cup qualifiers in early September? Maybe.

United’s lineup: Hamid; Franklin (Kemp 46th), Birnbaum, Opare, Mishu; Vincent; Neagle, DeLeon, Buescher, Nyarko (Sarvas 66th); Igboananike (Mullins 79th).

Did not travel: Boswell, Jeffrey, Sam.

Did not play: Acosta.
