Diana Matheson scored two goals Friday as the Washington Spirit defeated the Western New York Flash, 3-0, to remain perfect through three National Women’s Soccer League matches.
The Canadian national team midfielder put the first-place Spirit ahead in the fourth minute in Rochester, N.Y., running onto Crystal Dunn’s gorgeous cross and placing a low shot into far side of the net.
