The Washington Spirit have announced that Geico, one of the largest insurance providers in the United States, will be the club’s kit sponsor. While terms of the deal, including financial terms and the length of the contract, were not disclosed, it’s a potentially major step forward off the field for the Spirit. Geico joins Gatorade, Adventist HealthCare, Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Women And Girls in Soccer (WAGS), and Potomac Soccer Association on the list of recent new partnership agreements for the club.
The Spirit have already played two games in jerseys that already had “GEICO” printed across the front, after previously having added WAGS as a back-of-kit sponsor.
