The Americans will host the first leg Nov. 16 in the Texas capital, then visit Port-of-Spain on Nov. 20. The winner will not only advance to the Nations League final four in March, but clinch a place in next summer’s Copa America, the eminent South American competition, which will be held at U.S. venues.
“We have had a core group together for the last two windows in preparation for this opportunity, and we want to finish the year on a strong note and position ourselves to compete in two important competitions next year,” Berhalter said in a statement.
