The start of the 2017 season has not been the best for D.C. United. Through three games, the Black-and-Red have just one point, in a season opening scoreless draw against Sporting Kansas City. That was followed up with a 4-0 loss to New York City FC, and a 2-0 defeat at home to Columbus Crew SC. All of which adds up to the longest scoreless streak to start a season in club history.
So last week’s bye week due to the international break might have come at the right time.
