The U.S. men’s national soccer team will play Panama, Martinique, and Haiti or Nicaragua in the Gold Cup group stage this summer, CONCACAF announced Tuesday.
In Group B, the pre-seeded Americans will face Panama on July 8 in Nashville, Martinique on July 12 in Tampa and Haiti or Nicaragua on July 15 in Cleveland. The Haitians and Nicaraguans collide in a two-leg playoff, March 24 and 28. By winning the group, the five-time champion Americans would move to a July 19 quarterfinal doubleheader at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field and, by advancing, play a July 22 semifinal at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex.
