Ulises Segura suffers leg injury in D.C. United training

D.C. United’s Ulises Segura is due to undergo testing for a leg injury suffered near the end of Tuesday’s workouts at the RFK Stadium training grounds.

No initial details were provided by the team, but the Costa Rican midfielder appeared to hurt his right knee. He received medical attention for several minutes before leaving the field under his own power. He punched a retaining fence in frustration as he walked away.

It’s been a tough 24 hours for Segura, who on Monday learned that he had not been selected to the Costa Rican national team heading to Russia this summer for the World Cup.
