*D.C. United is back in Washington for a few days of outdoor workouts (weather permitting) before returning to Florida on Thursday for the final stage of training camp. All eyes and ears, though, are on Argentina (Luciano Acosta) and Italy (Antonio Nocerino). With two weeks until the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals at Queretaro, United is hopeful of decisions by both targets this week.
The Acosta move is looking positive, sources tell me. The Nocerino situation, however, remains unclear. Acosta is more critical to the roster-building efforts because he would fill a creative midfield role.
