Trinity Rodman, a Washington Spirit first-round draft pick, arrived Jan. 21 with her belongings, her mom and her famous last name.
“I am definitely trying to get to know my area,” Rodman said between shopping outings in Loudoun County and bonding sessions with teammates.
The Spirit furnishes the essentials: an apartment in a new complex that houses most of the players and a roommate whom the club figured would be a good fit for the 18-year-old forward.
Because Rodman, a U.S. national team prospect who left college after one semester, is the youngest player in National Women’s Soccer League history, the Spirit also saw fit to provide a mentor and life coach.
