Happy Thursday, everyone. First off, peace to everyone in Florida who was in the path of Hurricane Ian yesterday. Hopefully all fared okay and are out of harm’s way. Peace to Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, who will feel Ian’s wrath in the coming days.

Arsenal FC, Real Madrid, Juventus, and PSG are among the teams who reached the group stage of the 2022-23 UEFA Women’s Champions League after qualifying wins yesterday. 2 more teams today will round out the field of 16.

A week after releasing their minimalist World Cup jerseys, Denmark and kit maker Hummel say that the jerseys are a protest of Qatar’s human rights record as they head there for the 2022 World Cup.
