Coming off of a disappointing performance and result last week, the USWNT is looking to get back on track in today’s friendly against Spain. The United States dropped a 3-1 loss to France on Friday, looking distinctly second-best throughout, and Spain — themselves a 2019 World Cup qualifier and looking to prove they belong at the top tier of women’s soccer — will be hungry to spring what would count as a huge upset.
Location: Estadio Jose Luis Rico (Alicante, Spain)
Kickoff time: 2:30pm Eastern
USWNT starting 11:
No word yet on the bench, but Jill Ellis is going back to the group that we have largely been assuming is her first-choice eleven for months.
