The U.S. women’s national soccer team turned its attention back to the field — and crushing the opposition.
A week after filing discrimination claims against the U.S. Soccer Federation, the world champions scored four goals in about 12 minutes of the first half Wednesday en route to a 7-0 victory over Colombia before 21,792 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn.
With the Olympics four months away, the teams will meet again Sunday at sold-out Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa. (2 p.m. ET, Fox Sports 1).
