Growing up as a Roberto Baggio-obsessed soccer fanatic in the Polish village of Leszno, Lewandowski would’ve only ever gotten his kicks on the pitch if left to his own devices. But Krzysztof Lewandowski, a former judo champion and professional soccer player who happened to be Robert’s physical education teacher, preached the value of training the body to withstand all manner of challenges.
