D.C. United on Wednesday bolstered its depleted attack, turning to the waiver process to acquire Argentine forward Ramón Ábila, a million-dollar player who fell out of favor in his first season with Minnesota United.
Ábila, who will turn 32 in October, is on loan to MLS from Boca Juniors, the famed Buenos Aires club. He has appeared in 10 matches (one start) and scored twice but hasn’t played since July 7.
