Patrick Mullins, who has yet to score for D.C. United in 2017, is set to remain scoreless for the foreseeable future, after suffering a torn left meniscus last weekend in a win against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The injury will require surgery for Mullins, with the length of his absence to be determined; a lesser injury would put Mullins out six weeks, while a full meniscus repair could keep the Maryland graduate out for four to six months.
Mullins was a second half substitute for Jose Ortiz against the Whitecaps, coming on with shortly after United took the lead from a penalty.
