After a month of hot-and-cold speculation, Levski Sofia announced that they have a preliminary agreement to sell forward Nigel Robertha to D.C. United. Robertha still has to receive a work visa and complete medical tests, and he appears to be on his way to D.C. to do so.
The Washington Post’s Steven Goff confirmed Levski’s statement with D.C. United. Terms of the deal are not known at the moment, though previous reports have had D.C. offer somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.2 million, which beat out multiple reported offers from Sweden side Malmo FF.
