Maryland will enter the NCAA men’s soccer tournament with an unbeaten record, with a 15-match winning streak, with the Big Ten regular season championship and with the conference tournament title.
The top-ranked Terrapins (18-0-2) continued the finest campaign in their history Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Wisconsin in the league final at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. They’ve now won five consecutive conference trophies (two ACC, three Big Ten).
“We showed our championship fiber,” Coach Sasho Cirovski said. “This is an absolutely remarkable accomplishment. With all the success that I’ve had, I’m still at a loss for words for the fifth conference championship in five years.
