Loudoun United loses, D.C. United trade Gonzalo Higuain discovery rights, and more: Freedom Kicks for September 2, 2020

Welcome to Wednesday. For me, yesterday was saying goodbye to Texas after the worst month ever and returning home to D.C. to get back to life, back to reality. So, let’s catch up on the news together:

Loudoun United’s struggles continue with a 3-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. They fall to 1-6-2 on the season.

Looks like D.C. United had the discovery rights on Gonzalo Higuain, who is reportedly set to leave Juventus on a free transfer. However, it also appears that we will not see him join his brother Federico Higuain at Audi Field.
