Loudoun United learned their remaining opponents for the 2020 season last week, playing the New York Red Bulls and Philadelphia Union USL sides, Hartford Athletic and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds as part of an eight group format amongst the 35 USL Championship clubs. Loudoun will play those teams three times each for a total of 12 games, comprising a 16-game regular season, with the three remaining games to be played against the Charleston Battery, North Carolina FC and Louisville City FC, the latter appearing in Loudoun’s home opener on August 15. Teams were grouped in a similar geographic region (to not exceed a 500 mile road travel radius), part of a wide-ranging health and wellness protocol document which can be found here.
