A fiery, frenetic game saw the Black-and-Red fight their way to a tie against the 10-man Crew
Two struggling teams showed they’re capable of a bit more than we’ve seen in 2016, as D.C. United fought the Columbus Crew to a lively 1-1 draw at Mapfre Stadium. Ola Kamara, after being completely shut out of the game in the first half, staked the Crew to a 62nd minute lead. Following Harrison Afful’s controversial 74th minute red card, the Black-and-Red threw numbers forward and eventually snagged an equalizer thanks to Fabian Espindola’s 89th minute shot from the top of the box.
