As the British Parliament continues its seemingly endless political standoff over its long-debated exit from the European Union, over the past year there has become an unlikely educator on the Brexit issue, one that has even managed to shift at least a handful of opinions on the matter and been used to inform members of Parliament about Brexit’s potential impact on the British Premier League.
Last year of the world’s most popular soccer simulations, Football Manager, incorporated various Brexit-related issues into the 2019 version of the game. The game’s development team at Sports Interactive collaborated with an external group of academics, journalists, politicians and people working in soccer to compile a list of potential Brexit scenarios.
