One of Germany’s largest news outlets, Bild, claims that D.C. United has secured the services of Zoltan Stieber, a left winger from Hungary who is under contract with Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern. This news goes so far to say that Stieber is on his way to the US.
The 29 year old Stieber has been with Kaiserslautern for a year now, and can play on the right or even in the middle along with his preferred left side. He has appeared 21 times with Hungary’s national team, recently in their World Cup Group B qualification match with Andorra in June (Hungary is third in the group behind Switzerland and Portugal).
