Crystal Thomas scored a sensational goal in the 76th minute Saturday as the Georgetown women’s soccer team defeated Santa Clara, 1-0, to earn its first College Cup semifinal berth.
Thomas, a graduate student who played her first two seasons at Notre Dame, struck in the 76th minute with a 22-yard shot from beyond the left side of the penalty area at wind-swept Shaw Field.
