Geoff Cameron, projected to start at center back in the U.S. World Cup qualifiers against Mexico and Costa Rica, appears doubtful to join the national team because of a hyper-extended knee.
Stoke City Manager Mark Hughes said Friday that Cameron is unlikely to be available for the Premier League match Saturday at West Ham.
“The knee has improved .. but we’re still having a little bit of pain, so the likelihood is that he’s not going to be involved for us. He probably won’t be involved in the international level next week as well. He probably just needs to calm the knee down and then he’ll be okay.
