One day after joining his new club, Deshorn Brown made his D.C. United debut Wednesday with a 28-minute effort against Atlanta United.
The Jamaican forward was waiting to enter the match when Patrick Nyarko scored a magnificent goal from 17 yards, a volley that propelled D.C. into the lead — and ultimately to a 2-1 victory — but also eased the pressure on Brown to produce some magic with just one training session under his belt.
“The coach asked me [Tuesday] if I was ready for some minutes,” he said. “I told him I was ready.
