HARRISON, N.J. — D.C. United began a three-game road swing with a train ride to New Jersey and the resumption of a thrice-annual rumble with the New York Red Bulls.
Coming off a pair of home victories, United was primed to cap the breezy trip by ending a six-year absence of regular season victories here. But United’s form took a dip, and the rut at Red Bull Arena continued with a 2-0 defeat Saturday.
Former Georgetown standout Alex Muyl struck less than a minute into the second half and MLS scoring ace Bradley Wright-Phillips added a goal as United (2-3-1) fell to 0-6-2 in its past eight visits.
