Deshorn Brown, D.C. United’s starting striker the past seven matches, is sidelined indefinitely with a concussion, Coach Ben Olsen said Tuesday.

He suffered the injury Sunday, a few minutes after the match against Real Salt Lake resumed following Saturday’s weather-related postponement at RFK Stadium. The Jamaican, who joined United from second-tier Tampa Bay in June, has scored twice in nine appearances.

Midfielder Patrick Nyarko has missed the past three matches with a concussion and doesn’t seem likely to return anytime soon.

Left back Taylor Kemp, who missed the Real Salt Lake match with a hip injury, engaged in light training Tuesday and is day to day.
