D.C. United defender Conner Antley will miss the remainder of the MLS season after tearing his left ACL on Saturday in Atlanta, the team announced Tuesday.
In his first MLS season after climbing the lower-division ladder, the 29-year-old will undergo reconstructive surgery soon. He had appeared in seven of 12 matches and started four consecutive games between March 23 and April 13 before missing three with a calf ailment.
On Saturday, Antley entered at the start of the second half. In the third minute of stoppage time, he rushed toward an opponent receiving a pass near the sideline before stopping short.
