D.C. United attacker Chris Rolfe remains out indefinitely with a concussion suffered six weeks ago against his former MLS club, the Chicago Fire.
United’s 2015 leading scorer has not passed the league-mandated concussion protocol. Even if he were cleared soon, the long layoff would require weeks of training in order to regain match fitness. In other words, United supporters should not expect to see him on the field anytime soon.
In his first comments about the injury, Rolfe said in an email: “I’m doing okay and seeing some progress the past two weeks, in particular. The whole injury is crazy to me.
