D.C. United will ease into the 2022 MLS season with nine of the first 13 matches against teams that, like United, did not participate in the playoffs this year. And of those 13, eight will take place at Audi Field.
The soft entry was unveiled Wednesday when the league, entering its 27th season, released the 34-game schedules for all 28 teams. Last month, United learned its first two matches will be Feb. 26 at home against expansion Charlotte FC and March 5 at FC Cincinnati, the league’s worst team three years running.
