After losing an ugly match in Orlando last week, D.C. United Coach Troy Lesesne was intent that his group would respond from what he termed an “unacceptable” outing as it hosted Nashville SC on Saturday night at Audi Field.
United looked like it had undergone a reset in training throughout the week, Lesesne told reporters Thursday, and that reset bore fruit against Nashville. Two goals early in the second half from Cristian Dájome powered D.C. to its first win since May 11 and first win at home since April 27, ending an 11-match winless streak with a 2-1 victory.
