D.C. United selected Georgetown’s Jacob Murrell with the seventh pick of the MLS draft Tuesday, but the sophomore forward said he has not decided whether to turn pro right away or remain in school for at least another season.
“I’m just really excited with the opportunity right now,” said Murrell, a Maryland native who had 11 goals and four assists in 19 matches this fall. “Some stuff has to shake out in the next few weeks. ... I’m thrilled to be picked by D.C., just to be able to stay home and stay in this area.
