Entering 2016, D.C. United knew that Chris Korb would likely not be available for the start of the MLS season. Recovering from an ACL tear he suffered in August 2015, Korb didn’t see a single minute of preseason play. Still, the hope was that he was on track to be healthy sometime early in the season.
That hope never materialized. Due to setbacks in the recovery, Chris Korb never appeared for the Black-and-Red in 2016. Korb was missed on the depth chart, as it was expected that he would eventually challenge starters Taylor Kemp and Sean Franklin for playing time at either wing back position.
