D.C. United has confirmed to Black and Red United that the team has released all of the trialists from the first part of preseason camp, save for Maxim Tissot. Tissot has impressed so far as a potential backup for Taylor Kemp, and Steve Goff has reported that the team has offered Tissot a contract.
Charlie Horton was the third goalkeeper for parts of last year, when the team was short on keepers due to injuries to Bill Hamid and Andrew Dykstra. The team acquired Horton’s rights from the New England Revolution for an unspecified amount of general allocation money.
