What was previously rumored is now official, with D.C. United trading for Patrick Mullins from New York City FC, sending general allocation money, targeted allocation money, and an international roster spot through the end of the 2017 season. United General Manager Dave Kasper had this to say about the former Maryland star:
"Patrick is a young, dynamic number nine who knows how to create and finish chances. We have had him on our radar since his time at Maryland and look forward to his continued development here. We are delighted he is joining us and believe in the value he can add to this club.
