Yesterday's rumored trade is finally complete, with D.C. United acquiring Patrick Nyarko.
After rumors all of yesterday, and speculation from our own Adam Taylor a few weeks ago, D.C. United has officially acquired winger Patrick Nyarko from the Chicago Fire. Contrary to what we all thought yesterday, D.C. United only gave up their natural second round pick in next week's draft, and did not have to give up any allocation money, targeted or otherwise, to complete the deal. General Manager Dave Kasper commented on the deal:
