D.C. United concluded their first Florida leg of the 2019 preseason with a 1-1 draw against FC Cincinnati tonight at the IMG Academy. An apparently dominant first half was capped off by Luciano Acosta’s goal, but after halftime the MLS expansion side asserted themselves before getting a late equalizer from Nazmi Albadawi.
Ben Olsen unsurprisingly set his team up in a 4231, but this time with some big names added to the mix. Paul Arriola, Russell Canouse, and Joseph Mora returned from international duty, while Luciano Acosta was included after sitting out last week’s win over Bethlehem Steel FC.
