The Black-and-Red will have the government contractor on the front of their shirts for awhile.
Steven Goff reports that D.C. United and its current jersey sponsor Leidos have agreed to extend their sponsorship on the team's jersey for two more years. Originally expiring at the end of this season, the team and Leidos have apparently agreed to a two-year extension through the 2018 season, which would be the first year of the team being in their Buzzard Point home.
Terms of the extension will likely not be made public when the deal is officially announced, just as they were hard to find when the two parties agreed to a sponsorship back in 2014.
