In a game against two playoff hopefuls, D.C. United stomped all over the Montreal Impact, winning 5-0 on Saturday night. In front of a sell-out crowd of 20,573 at Audi Field, the Black-and-Red scored four times in the second half, to move within two points of the Impact in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Luciano Acosta stole the night by opening the scoring in the first half, and then adding three assists in the goal fest second half. Wayne Rooney and Paul Arriola both scored twice in the second half, as United tallied their most goals in a game this season.
